Gil Michel
Meet Gil, the driving force behind Black Men Reading Stories. It all began with bedtime stories with his wife and son. As foster parents, they witnessed the therapeutic benefits of reading. Recognizing a cultural need, Gil started BMRS to provide a library of men reading stories, reshaping cultural perceptions, and promoting a positive image of black men.
